Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the respondent-Bank.

The petitioner's appeal against the order of punishment dated 16.03.2020 was filed before the Respondent No. 4 on 18.04.2020. The petitioner has subsequently filed a supplementary appeal before the Respondent No. 3 on 16.10.2020. It is the limited grievance of the petitioner that the

Patna High Court CWJC No.4880 of 2021(2) dt.22-06-2023 2/2 appeals have not been considered and decided by the authority, till date.

Learned counsel for the respondent-Bank does not dispute that the appeals are required to be disposed of on its own merits in accordance with law.

The writ application, therefore, need not be kept pending as the same is not raising any issues which are required to be adjudicated, since the petitioner's punishment is pending consideration before the disciplinary authority (Respondent No. 4) and the appellate authority (Respondent No. 3).

With direction to the Respondent No. 3 & 4 to dispose of the appeals within three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, writ application is allowed to the above extent.
