Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned A.P.P. for the State.

The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Vigilance P.S. Case No.129 of 2016/Special Case No.60 of 2016 registered under Sections 7/13(2) read with Sections 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The accusation is that the petitioner being the Assistant Electrical Engineer was apprehended by the Vigilance Department, taking bribe of Rs.10,000/- from one Ram Babu Sharma for correcting the electric bill.

No.3116 of 2017 (2) dt.08-02-2017 2/2 Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case on mere suspicion. Moreover, on investigation, the police has already submitted chargesheet against the petitioner. The petitioner is in custody since 02.12.2016.

Having regard to the facts and the circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Special Judge, Vigilance North Bihar, Muzaffarpur, in connection with Vigilance P.S. Case No.129 of 2016/Special Case No.60 of 2016.
