JUSTICE RAJAN GUPTA) 27-04-2022 Challenge in this Letters Patent Appeal is to the order passed by the learned Single Judge, operative part whereof reads as under:- "The matter arises out of recruitment to the post of Sub Inspector of Police pursuant to the advertisement No.704/2004. The petitioners, four in number, are seeking direction to the respondents to consider their cases and allow them to appear for

No matter arising out of the said advertisement can be entertained by this Court now 14 years after initiation of the process of selection in the light of Supreme Court's order dated01.11.2018 passed in CONMT. PET.(C) No. 1711/2018 in CONMT. PET.

(C) No. 22/2018 in C.A. No. 2805/2017(Annexure-4). In similar circumstance, another writ application has been dismissed by this Court by order dated 06.11.2019passed in C.W.J.C. No. 19339 of 2019 (Arinjay Kumar and Others vs. The State of Bihar and Others).

This application is dismissed in view of the clear observations made by this Supreme Court in the aforesaid order dated 01.11.2018."

It is obvious that no cause of action now survives in this appeal. In fact, due to lapse of time, all selections etc. are over.
