JUSTICE DINESH KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 04-02-2015 Heard learned counsels for the petitioner and the State. The petitioner being father of the husband of the victim is languishing in custody since 22.9.2014 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
It is alleged that the informant's grand daughter was killed after four years of marriage for non fulfillment of the demand of Bolero vehicle as dowry.
It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the accusation is not specific against the petitioner whereas the informant himself has admitted that this petitioner informed him about the serious condition of the victim. Moreover, the postmortem was conducted at the behest of the petitioner. The postmortem report reflects extensive burn injuries. It is further submitted that the husband of the victim is in custody.
