Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

Submission is that name of the petitioner has surfaced in the confessional statement of co-accused-Digambar Yadav. Petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. He was not found at the time of recovery of liquor from a car. Neither the car was of the petitioner nor the petitioner has any concern with the liquor. Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of

No.498 of 2020(2) dt.16-01-2020 2/2 learned Court below where the case is pending in connection with Excise Complaint Case No.136 of 2019, subject to the condition that both bailors shall be resident of territorial jurisdiction of the learned court below as well as petitioner shall not leave the country without permission of the Court and further the petitioner shall fully cooperate with the investigation of the case, failing which the court below shall be at liberty to cancel the bail bond of the petitioner.
