JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 19-09-2023 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. That this is an application for issuance of appropriate writs, orders, direction(s), direction(s) to the respondent no 3 i.e. the District Magistrate, Patna, to consider the application made by the petitioner to grant him firearms license under Arms Act, 1989 and also to return the Gun of the petitioner which he had surrendered. And also for any other relief or reliefs for which the Petitioner is found to be entitled in the facts and circumstances of this case."

Considering the nature of relief sought for in the present writ petition, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Arms

Patna High Court CWJC No.815 of 2023(2) dt.19-09-2023 2/2 Magistrate / District Magistrate, Patna, to dispose of the application filed by the petitioner for grant of Arms license, in case such an application has been filed & is still pending, by passing a reasoned & a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of 6 weeks of receipt / production of a copy of this order.
