CORAM:

HONOURABLE MR.

JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT & ORDER Date: 12-07-2017 The petitioner's son, namely, Ashutosh Raj, had passed Class-Xth examination, held by the Central Board of Secondary Education (hereinafter referred to as the "CBSE"),

Patna High Court CWJC No.4691 of 2017 dt.12-07-2017 2/2 in the year 2015. In the Admission Card and Grade-Sheetcum-Certificate of Performance, the name of the petitioner has been typed as "SATYENDRA KR SHAHI", as father of Ashutosh Raj. The father of the petitioner had filed an application for correction in the name by incorporating "KUMAR" in place of "KR" in the said Grade-Sheet-cumCertificate of Performance of the petitioner. The said application has been rejected on 21.12.2016 by the CBSE, on the ground that it was filed more than one year after declaration of the result, which is the time limit within which an application is to be filed.

2. Considering the triviality of the matter, without entering into the technical issue whether the said application was time bared and it was rightly rejected by the CBSE, I direct the CBSE to correct the name of the petitioner by incorporating "KUMAR" in place of "KR" in the GradeSheet-cum-Certificate of Performance, issued in favour of the petitioner's son, namely, Ashutosh Raj. The same must be done within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

3. This application is, accordingly, disposed of. (Chakradhari Sharan Singh, J) Praveen-II/- AFR/NAFR NAFR CAV DATE N/A Uploading Date 18.07.17 Transmission Date N/A
