The petitioner is languishing in custody for the offence punishable under Sections 376/307 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 6 of the POCSO Act.

Petitioner is in custody since 26.06.2019. Allegation is that the petitioner ravished to the daughter of the informant and attempted to commit her murder. In the past, prayer for bail was refused on 23.01.2020 considering statement of the victim under Section 164 Cr.P.C. with direction to the trial Judge to expedite the trial.

The report of the trial Judge dated 21.08.2021 would reveal that the case was recently put up before the presiding officer on his appointment at the Station.

Considering the circumstances wherein the trial could

Case No. 34 of 2017. Hence, prayer is refused.
