JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 17-07-2018 This writ application has been filed seeking direction to the Central Board of Secondary Education (hereinafter referred to as 'the Board') to correct the father's name of the petitioner in the marks-sheets issued by the Board for All India Secondary School Examination, 2014, i.e., Class 10th, and All India Senior School Certificate Examination, 2016, i.e., Class 12th, and other documents issued by the Board in favour of the petitioner. It is the petitioner's case that correct name of his father is 'Krishna Kant'. However, out of inadvertence, 'Krishna Kant Sharma' has been mentioned in the certificates and marks-sheets issued by the Board. It is stated that the petitioner has approached the Board through School for necessary correction in his father's name, which is yet to be disposed of.

Patna High Court CWJC No.1436 of 2018 dt.17-07-2018 2/2 In the facts and circumstances of the case, this application is disposed of with a direction to the Board to consider the petitioner's request for correction in the father's name of the petitioner and take a decision within a period of two months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. It will be open for the petitioner to apply afresh for such correction and if such application is made by the petitioner, within two weeks from today along with all relevant records, the Board shall be required to dispose it of within two months from the date of such application.

This writ application is allowed.
