The petitioner seeks bail in Thakurganj P.S. Case No. 143 of 2014, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 304B and other Sections of the Indian Penal Code. The father of the deceased alleged that his daughter was married to the petitioner just four months before the occurrence. The accused persons were torturing her and ultimately his daughter was poisoned to death.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the victim was under depression and she herself consumed poison. All the witnesses of the vicinity have stated the same fact. Considering the facts aforesaid and the fact that the petitioner is the husband and his wife died within four months of

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.5876 of 2015 (4) dt.30-04-2015 2/2 her marriage with the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner above named on bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected. The trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within one year from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
