1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.

2. This application, for grant of regular bail, arises out of Danapur Police Station Case No. 340 of 2023 dated 01.05.2019, disclosing offences under Sections 304(B), 201, 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per the prosecution story, the marriage of the informant's daughter was solemnized with the son of the petitioner about six years ago. After marriage, the petitioner along with other accused persons started demanding Rs. 5 lacs as dowry from the daughter of the informant and due to non-fulfillment of demand, informant's daughter was tortured and subsequently killed and her dead body was cremated secretly by the

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is father-in-law of the deceased and has been falsely implicated in this case on the basis of general and omnibus allegation of demand of dowry and torture. The husband of the deceased, namely Mukesh Kumar has been acquitted by the learned Trial Court in Sessions Trial No. 83 of 2020 vide judgment dated 27.02.2021.

5. The petitioner is in custody since 17.11.2022.

6. Regards being had to the submissions made by the parties and taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner is father-in-law of the deceased and is in custody since 17.11.2022 and the husband has been acquitted in the trial, I am inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner.

7. Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount, each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge VI, Danapur, in connection to the Danapur Police Station Case No. 340 of 2023 dated 01.05.2019, disclosing offences under Sections 304(B), 201, 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
