In compliance with the directions given by order, dated 23.09.2016, respondent No.4, namely, Senior Superintendent of Police, Muzaffarpur, respondent No.7, namely, Officer-In-Charge, Saraiya Police Station, Muzaffarpur, and
Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.742 of 2016 (4) dt.03-10-2016 2/3 respondent No.8, namely, Sanjay Pathak, the Investigating Officer, presently posted as S.H.O., Jaitpur (O.P.) Saraiya Police Station, District Muzaffarpur, have appeared, in person, and filed affidavit showing cause and also a supplementary counter affidavit.
In view of the progress, which has been made, in Saraiya (Jaitpur O.P.) P.S. Case No.187 of 2016, this writ petition is closed with direction that respondent No.4, namely, Senior Superintendent of Police, Muzaffarpur, shall enquire into the grievances raised in the writ petition, do the needful in accordance with law and get the investigation of Saraiya (Jaitpur O.P.) P.S. Case No.187 of 2016 completed expeditiously, preferably, within a period of six months, ensuring proper, fair and effective investigation in such a way that no innocent person is harassed and adequate security is provided to the petitioner. Let a copy of this order be sent forthwith to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Muzaffarpur and Station House Officer, Saraiya (Jaitpur O.P.) Police Station. With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
