JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL JUDGMENT (Per: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE) Date : 13-10-2017 This petition has been filed in public interest and the petitioner wants correction of the voter list for Ward Nos.50 and 51, Patna Municipal Corporation, the petition was filed way back on 15.05.2017 when the elections to the Patna Municipal Corporation were going on and submission of nomination papers were held between 20.04.2017 up to 09.05.2017.
Patna High Court CWJC No.7315 of 2017 dt.13-10-2017 2/2 Now from the counter affidavit filed by the respondents represented by Sri Amit Srivastava, learned counsel for the State Election Commission, Patna Bihar, it is seen that the elections to the Corporation in question have already been over and now after the elections are over, this Court does not deem it appropriate to interfere into the question of preparation of voter list. In case, the petitioner has any grievance with regard to voter list prepared, the petitioner may take up the issue before the competent statutory authority and seek correction of the voter list in accordance with law.
