1. Heard learned counsel for the parties concerned.
2. The petitioner is seeking compassionate appointment in the affiliated colleges run by the Managing Committee.
3. Learned counsel for the Jai Prakash University submits that the affiliated colleges and its Managing Committee is not a State within the meaning of Article 12 of the
Patna High Court CWJC No.1106 of 2023(4) dt.03-01-2024 2/2 Constitution of India and there is no rule and/or statute regarding appointment on compassionate ground in the affiliated college.
4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent no. 10 also supports the argument made by the University.
5. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner's father was working in the affiliated college run by the Managing Committee and the Managing Committee is not a State within the meaning of the Article 12 of the Constitution of India, this writ application is, accordingly, dismissed.
