JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 13-06-2017 The petitioners have filed the present application seeking direction to the respondents to provide
due protection on the ground that both of them are adults and are living together after solemnizing marriage, which is being objected to by the family members of petitioner no. 1 because of caste difference between them.
Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners has submitted, referring to the averments made in the writ application and a supplementary affidavit filed today, that petitioners are major and they apprehend serious danger because the family members of the petitioner no. 1, who have been impleaded as respondents in the present application, have serious objection to the marriage between petitioner no. 1 and petitioner no. 2. Considering the facts and circumstances, I need not go into the factual details as to whether the petitioners are major or not for the purpose of passing of the present order.
Learned Counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners are present within the court premises today.
In that background, in my view, the interest of justice shall be subserved if the petitioners are directed to present themselves before the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna, with a copy of the present order and narrate their apprehension.
The Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna, will thereafter be required to take necessary steps as may be considered necessary by him, in co-ordination with Officials of Munger district, of which the petitioners are residents, to ensure that necessary protection is provided to them. This application stands disposed of.
