ANJANA MISHRA ORAL ORDER 14-02-2020 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State. The present writ application has been filed with a prayer to direct the learned Additional District & Sessions Judge-II, Sheikhpura to ensure speedy and effective trial in S.T. No.647 of 2013 arising out of Karandey P.S. Case No.24 of 2013 under Sections 302, 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the evidence was closed on 28.02.2017, yet the matter has been lingering for the past few years, resulting in the miscarriage of justice. He thus prays that appropriate direction for concluding the trial may be issued so that the petitioner may not be prejudiced any further.
