Patna High Court CWJC No.4503 of 2021 dt.11-05-2022 2/2 Date: 11.05.2022 The present petition has been filed by the petitioner for quashing the letter dated 22.06.2019 issued by the office of Zila Parisad, Madhubani, whereby and whereunder the rent of the shops of the petitioners, rented out to them by the Zila Parisad, Madhubani, has been increased from Rs. 4/- per square feet to Rs. 15/- per square feet with effect from 01.04.2019. We had asked the parties to amicably settle the issues and had, in the meantime, directed that the petitioner shall pay rent @ of Rs. 8/- per square feet.

Today, we have been informed by the learned counsel for the parties that the matter has been amicably resolved and the rent has been reduced to Rs. 10/- per square feet. The learned counsel for the petitioners does not dispute the aforesaid position, hence does not wish to press the present writ petition. We, thus, dispose off the present writ petition as having become infructuous.
