The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Chanpatia (Kumarbag) P.S. Case No.681 of 2023 registered for the offence punishable under sections 363, 366-A/34 of the Indian Penal Code and under section 8 of the POCSO Act. 3.

The petitioner is accused of kidnapping the victim.

Learned counsel for the informant has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

From the statement of the victim girl

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.4948 of 2024(3) dt.21-03-2024 2/2 recorded under section 164 of the Cr.P.C., it appears that the victim had eloped with the petitioner. The petitioner is in custody since 15.11.2023 having clean antecedent. 6.

Considering the aforesaid facts, this application is allowed.

Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge-VI-cum- Special Judge, POCSO Act, West Champaran at Bettiah, in connection with Chanpatia (Kumarbag) P.S.
