In the present writ application, the following relief has been sought for on behalf of the petitioner :

(1) That this is an application for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing the Bihar Public Service Commission to make recommendation for appointment of Assistant Professor (Statistics) from the panel prepared on the basis of interview conducted in the light of advertisement notice number 69/2014, against the vacancy which has occurred due to non-joining of one Sunit Kumar of General category having roll number 69010103 who was recommended for

Patna High Court CWJC No.10344 of 2018(2) dt.19-07-2018 2/2 appointment and had been allocated Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur but who has preferred not to join ever after the expiry of the date by which he had to join and also for a direction to Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur to give appointment as Assistant Professor (Statistics) to such recommended candidate.

On behalf of the petitioner, it has been submitted that the petitioner had made representation before the Respondent No.1, which is still pending.

Considering the submissions made on behalf of the petitioner, the Respondent No.1 i.e. the Principal Secretary, Human Resources Development Department, Government of Bihar, Patna is directed to dispose of the representation made on behalf of the petitioner dated 14.03.2018 within a period of two months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order as the panel in question is going to lapse on 20th of September, 2018.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, the present writ application stands disposed of.
