The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Nayagaon P.S. Case No. 40 of 2019, registered under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The accusation is that on receiving secret information about keeping the liquor near the middle school in village Nayagaon for selling the same to the barat party, informant and other police personnel proceeded there. On seeing the police party, three persons started to flee away, but, they were identified by the local Chowkidar as Keshav Kumar, Aryan Kumar and Laltun Singh (petitioner). On search, seven bottles, each containing 750 ml Indian made foreign liquor and 35 bottles of 180 ml of Indian made foreign liquor recovered there.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.2746 of 2020(2) dt.18-01-2020 2/2 Submission is that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent and is in custody since 16.12.2019. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner, above named be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Nayagaon P.S.
