The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Durgawati P.S. Case No.352 of 2018, registered for the offences punishable under Section 414/34 of the Indian Penal Code, Section 11(a)(d)(e)(f) of the Animal Cruelty Act and Section 4(b)(2) of the Bihar Animal Protection Act. Allegation is that on the vehicle of this petitioner animals were being carried in the manner depicting cruelty to the animals. The driver allegedly fled away. The petitioner has not produced any driving licence to substantiate that the vehicle was being driven by some other person because normally the owner first ensures that the person to whom the vehicle is

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.2461 of 2019(2) dt.21-01-2019 2/2 handed over for driving has a valid driving licence. After some argument, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw this application and surrender within three weeks and pray for regular bail. Accordingly, this application stands dismissed as withdrawn.
