Petitioner seeks bail in a case under Section 399 and other sections of the I.P.C.

The police, on chase, apprehended two persons including the petitioner and also recovered one Bolero jeep. It is submitted that there is nothing on the record to show that the petitioner committed theft of the vehicle and also that the petitioner was not apprehended from the site of the occurrence and he is in jail custody since 19.7.2014. After institution of the case, the name of the petitioner also figured in three other criminal cases in the two confessional statements of co-accused. Considering the facts aforesaid, nature of allegation and also that the petitioner is in jail since 19.7.2014, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Begusarai in connection with Begusarai Town P.S.Case No.464 of 2014.
