The petitioner, who is in custody, seeks bail in connection with Vigilance P.S. Case No. 40 of 2017 in Special Case No. 20 of 2017 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 7/13(2) read with section 13(1)(d) of Prevention of Corruption Act.

The allegation against the petitioner is of taking Rs. 10,000/- as bribe.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no bribe money as alleged in the post trap memorandum has been recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner. It has been further submitted that charge sheet has already been

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner named above be released on bail upon furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Vigilance North Bihar, Muzaffarpur, in connection with Vigilance P.S. Case No. 40 of 2017.
