1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. That this is an application for issuance of an appropriate writ and/or order and/or direction commanding the respondents to restore the arms license of the petitioners bearing license no. 30 of 2003 for rifle and license no. 08/2005 for revolver, existing in the name of the petitioner no.1 and license no. 09 of 2005 for rifle, existing in the name of the petitioner no.2.

The arms license of the petitioners had been cancelled since the petitioner no.1 had

As of now, the petitioner no.1 has been acquitted in all the criminal cases by the respective trial courts. The petitioner no.2 has no criminal antecedent. The petitioners also seek a direction commanding the respondents to dispose of the application dated 17.05.2018 (pending before the District Magistrate, Munger) filed by the petitioners for restoration of their respective license within a time frame."

2. Considering the nature of relief, sought for in the present writ petition, I deem it fit and proper to grant liberty to the petitioners to approach the District Magistrate, Munger for redressal of their subsisting grievance, if any.

3. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
