This application for grant of bail in connection with GRP, Samastipur (Hasanpur) Rail P.S. Case No. 62 of 2016 for the offences under Sections 20 and 22 of the NDPS Act. Earlier the prayer for regular bail was rejected vide order dated 17.02.2017 passed in Cr. Misc. Case No. 1285 of 2017 by this Court with a direction to the trial court to expedite the trial within a period of nine months.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this application has been filed for grant of bail on the ground that the trial has commenced and charges have already been framed against the petitioner.

Heard learned A.P.P. also.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.36277 of 2017 (2) dt.02-08-2017 2/2 Having heard both sides, in view of the facts and circumstances, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail and accordingly her prayer stands rejected.

However, the trial court is directed to expedite the trial and try to conclude it as soon as possible preferably within a period of nine months.

With the above observation, this application is dismissed.
