1. The simple prayer made by the petitioner in the present case is to direct the District Magistrate, Patna, to make necessary entry of the arms license of the petitioner, bearing Arms License No.1727 of 1979 in the O.D. Register of Patna District, which was originally issued from District-Gaya. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has again filed a wholesome application on 05.10.2024, before the District Magistrate, Patna, hence the same be directed to be decided forthwith, in accordance with law.

2. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent-

Patna High Court CWJC No.2869 of 2024(3) dt.07-10-2024 2/2 State submits that in case the aforesaid application is still pending consideration, the same would definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Patna, to consider the aforesaid application filed by the petitioner, in case the same has actually been filed and is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
