The grievance of the petitioner in the instant case is non-consideration of the case of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment.

The petitioner is widow of late Dr. Akhauri Radha Krishna Sinha who died in harness on 08.08.2016. The matter of compassionate appointment is pending at the level of the University.

In view of the fact that the husband of the petitioner died in harness on 8.8.2016, the respondents are required to

Patna High Court CWJC No.13779 of 2017 (2) dt.15-12-2017 2/2 consider the case of the petitioner and take final decision within a reasonable time considering the hardship occasioned to the family on account of death of bread earner.

Keeping in view of the objective of the compassionate appointment, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the University to take final decision with regard to claim of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment within a maximum period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid, the writ application stands disposed of.
