====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 15-02-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. For issuance of direction to the respondents authorities to grant seniority and all consequential benefits to the petitioners on the basis of their merit position in the redrawn merit list of the constable irrespective of their date of joining on the post of constable arising out of Advertisement No. 2 of 2009 issued by the Central Selection Board of Constable, Bihar, Patna for the post of constable, as several hundred candidates who had lesser marks were declared successful before the petitioners and they were allowed to join and the petitioners names were left out and their results were not published only because of the lapses on the part of the Central Selection Board of Constable and their results were published after several round of litigation before this Hon'ble Court."

At the outset, the learned Senior Counsel for the petitioners seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to approach

Patna High Court CWJC No.902 of 2024(2) dt.15-02-2024 3/3 the Director General of Police, Bihar, Patna, i.e. the Respondent No. 3, for redressal of their aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

It is needless to state that in case the petitioners approach the Respondent No. 3, by filing appropriate representation, within a period of two weeks from today, the same shall be disposed off, by a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks, thereafter. 4.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
