The petitioner is in custody in connection with Sour Bazar P.S. Case No. 561 of 2017, registered for the offence under Section 395 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent. He further submits that petitioner is not named in the FIR his name surfaced in the instant case on the confessional statement of co-accused. He submits that nothing was recovered from the possession of the petitioner and he is in custody since 03.02.2018.
