====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE A. ABHISHEK REDDY ORAL ORDER 08-07-2024 The present writ petition is filed for giving the electricity connection to the petitioner.
2. Learned counsel for the respondents Electricity Department on instruction stated that the electricity connection on the application of the petitioner was given on 29.01.2024 and the meter was also installed on 09.05.2024.
3. The petitioner a party in person has expressed an apprehension that the authorities have given the bill till the end of May only and for the month of May & June they have till
Patna High Court CWJC No.1323 of 2024(3) dt.08-07-2024 2/2 date not issued the bill. The petitioner has stated that he apprehends that the respondent authority may try to disconnect the power supply on the ground that he has not paid the electricity charges for the month of May and June. The petitioner has further stated that in case the bills are given to the petitioner he ready to pay the monthly electricity charges as levied within the stipulated time. That in the absence of serving him the bills he would not be in a position to pay the bills and the authorities on the ground of non payment may disconnect the power supply.

Having regard to the above mentioned facts and circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of directly the respondent authorities to issue the monthly electricity bill to the petitioner regularly. The petitioner shall pay the monthly charges within stipulated time. The authorities cannot disconnect the power supply on the ground of non payment without serving the monthly bills to the petitioner.
5. With the above directions the present writ petition stands disposed of.
