JUSTICE VINOD KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 16-01-2020 The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Dumariyaghat P.S. Case No. 21 of 2019, registered for offences punishable under Sections 272 and 273 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

Police on information that one Vinod Rai is engaged in sell and purchase of liquor raided his house and on seeing the police, accused Vinod Rai, Bihari Rai and petitioner Ramvidya Rai succeeded in fleeing away and there was recovery of 163.295 litres of foreign liquor from the house of Vinod Rai. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he has been made accused in this case only because, he happens to be father of co-accused Vinod Rai and except that there is

Having heard both sides, in view of the submissions as above, let the petitioner above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 25,000 (Rs. Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned 9th Additional Sessions Judge -cum-Special Judge, Excise Act, East Champaran, Motihari, in connection with Dumariyaghat P.S. Case No. 21 of 2019.
