The petitioner is in custody since 01.12.2014 in connection with Kishanpur P.S. Case No. 212 of 2014 for the offence registered under sections 395 and 412 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the alleged items are said to have been recovered from the grocery shop of the petitioner near Asansol, West Bengal, after a fortnight of the alleged dacoity of the truck, referred to in the present case. It is further submitted that admittedly, these articles were purchased by him for Rs. 2 lacs but it was not known to him that the same were stolen articles with reference to the present case.
