2. In this case, the petitioner is seeking regular bail in connection with Punpun P.S. Case No. 208 of 2017, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 323, 498(A), 504 of IPC and 3⁄4 of the D.P. Act.

3. As per prosecution case, marriage of the informant's sister was solemnized. After marriage, the petitioner along with other co-accused persons is said to have assaulted the sister of the informant for demand of Rs.5,00,000/- as dowry.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.2274 of 2025(2) dt.15-02-2025 2/2 present case. The petitioner has never demanded any dowry nor tortured the informant's sister. He is a person of clean antecedent. He is in custody since 26.11.2024.

5. Learned APP Mr. J.N. Thakur and learned counsels for the informant have vehemently opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

6. Considering the above mentioned facts and circumstances and period of custody of the petitioner, let the petitioner, above-named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- with two surities of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned S.D.J.M., Masaurhi, District-Patna in connection with Punpun P.S. Case No. 208 of 2017, subject to the condition that the petitioner shall cooperate in the disposal of trial and make himself available as and when required by the court.
