The petitioner claims that his land was acquired in 2011 for the purpose of construction of approach road to a bridge and the bridge.

On perusal of the pleadings on record, I find that it is the petitioner's case that for payment of compensation he approached the authorities in 2011. Nearly eight years thereafter this application has been filed. There is absolutely no explanation in the writ application to justify the delay of eight years in approaching this Court. It is surprising to note that the petitioner has taken a plea that the said land has been acquired

Patna High Court CWJC No.1547 of 2019(2) dt.28-01-2019 2/2 without completing the land acquisition proceeding. It is difficult to accept such contention raised eight years after the construction.

This application has no merit, rather appears to be frivolous and is accordingly dismissed.
