Heard the parties.

The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 324, 386, 387 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. Allegation against the petitioner is that he demanded ransom for allowing the informant to do the contract work in the area. Further allegation is that the petitioner and others snatched the money of the informant.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. False allegation is there for the reason that the petitioner had done work of the informant and informant had not paid due wages and on demand

The case diary would reveal that the witnesses have supported the prosecution allegation and there is no material to substantiate the defence of the petitioner.

Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail in connection with Sono P.S. Case No. 281 of 2019.

Prayer for bail of the petitioner is refused. In the event of surrender and prayer for regular bail, the same shall be considered without being prejudiced by this order.
