2. This application, for grant of anticipatory bail, arises out of Complaint Case No. 431 of 2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 307 and 504 of the I.P.C. and Section 3⁄4 of the D.P. Act.
3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner and the co-accused persons are alleged to have tortured the complainant mentally and physically due to non-fulfillment of demand of Rs. 5,00,000/- as dowry.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the husband of the O.P. No. 2 and earlier the present
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.6340 of 2025(5) dt.20-08-2025 2/3 matter was referred to the Patna High Court Mediation Centre by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court vide order dated 19.05.2025. From perusal of the mediation report dated 16.07.2025, it is evident that the dispute between the parties has been resolved and the terms of settlement have mutually agreed upon by them. It is next submitted that the copy of terms and conditions of the settlement has been forwarded by the learned Mediator dated 14.07.2025 which is on record.

Regards being had to the submissions advanced on behalf of the parties and taking into consideration the fact that both the parties have come to an amicable settlement and terms and conditions of the settlement has been jointly signed by both the parties, I am inclined to grant the petitioner privilege of anticipatory bail, subject to the condition that the petitioner shall abide by the terms and conditions of the settlement.
6. This application is, accordingly, allowed.
7. Let the petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the Court below within a period of four weeks from today, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sheikhpura, in connection with Complaint Case No.
