Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for the State.
Petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Mohania P.S. Case No. 186 of 2021 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 420, 376, 120(B), 387, 504, 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
Allegedly, this petitioner approached the informant through social matrimonial site Shadi.com and started developing some intimacy with the informant as she was widow at that time and day after cheated on her by various pretext and

No.2956 of 2023(2) dt.18-01-2023 2/3 took Rs. 5 lakhs from the informant on different occasions and also concealed his personal life and established physical relationship with the informant and thereafter blackmailed her by giving threats to viral informant's personal photo. The main submissions advanced by learned counsel for the petitioner are that the petitioner has fair and clean antecedent and he has been languishing in jail since 26.06.2021 and the allegations made in the F.I.R. are totally false, infact there was some money transaction dispute in between the petitioner and the informant and now the said dispute has resolve and this regard both the sides have filed compromise petition before the Court below which is at annexure-2. The informant made the allegations in the F.I.R. with an intention to create pressure upon the petitioner to marry her.
Learned APP for the State has opposed the bail prayer. Having considered the above submissions and mainly the custody period of the petitioner and also the said compromise, in the opinion of this Court a lenient approach can be taken in respect of petitioner's bail prayer. Accordingly, let the petitioner named-above be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/-(Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional District & Sessions
