The petitioner seeks a direction to the Respondent No. 2, who is the Chairman of State Level Committee for grant of license to Wood-based Industries, Bihar, to dispose off his petition dated 23.01.2017 for grant of license under Bihar Saw Mills (Regulation) Act, 1990 in terms of the order of the Supreme Court in Writ Petition (Civil) No. 202 of 1995.

Patna High Court CWJC No.1557 of 2020 dt.23-01-2020 2/3 It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that a detailed application seeking license to run such Saw Mill has been filed by the petitioner but the same has not been adverted to up till now.

This Court has also been informed that several such applications have been filed by the prospective licensees in terms of the direction passed by the Supreme Court in the aforesaid writ petition but for no apparent reason, such applications are not being disposed off. Several orders have been passed in several such writ petitions directing the respondent no. 2, who is the Chairman of the State Level Committee constituted by the State Government to dispose off such writ petitions, but no interest has been shown in implementing such orders. This Court directs that in the event of a reminder letter being filed by the petitioner before Respondent No. 2 within a period of four weeks, the concerned respondent shall take up the application of the petitioner and shall

With the aforesaid observation / direction, this petition stands disposed off.

Till the disposal of the representation, no coercive action shall be taken against the business which is being run by the petitioner.
