Petitioner is in custody in connection with Maniyari P.S. Case No. 258 of 2019 for the offence under sections 414 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has been made accused in this case because of his past track record.

In the instant case total 588.240 liters of liquors was seized from a pick up van which does not belong to this petitioner.

The petitioner is in custody since 16.12.2019.

No.1695 of 2020(3) dt.20-03-2020 2/2 Considering the fact that the liquor was seized from the pick up van which does not belong to the petitioner, the Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, let the petitioner, named above, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 50,000/- (Fifty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge Excise, Act, Muzaffarpur, in connection with Maniyari P.S. Case No. 258 of 2019.

On release, the petitioner is required to tender his service as volunteer in order to combat with corona virus, he is required to report to the Civil Surgeon, Muzaffarpur who shall take appropriate steps for utilization of service of the petitioner as volunteer.
