JUSTICE VIKASH JAIN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 06-07-2018 The present writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to make payment of death claim of the petitioner's husband under the insurance policy.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that her husband during his life time had assured him in SBI Group Personal Accident Master Policy , bearing policy no. 68100000000, Certificate No. 2989114 for a sum of Rs. 4,00,000/-. The husband of the petitioner died on 14.04.2013, but despite several attempts by the petitioner she has not been able to receive the amount of the sum assured.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent nos. 1 and 5 appear and submit that the claim of the petitioner has not been proceeded in absence of copy of final police report, which has not been submitted by the petitioner.

4. Having regard to the nature of the grievance of the petitioner and the stand of the respondents, this writ petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the Branch Manager, SBI General Insurance, Dak Bungalow, Fraser Road, Patna (respondent no. 5) after obtaining the requisite final police report as required in terms of the letter dated 26.11.2013 (Annexure-F to the counter affidavit). As and when the same is produced by the petitioner, the respondent no. 5 shall process and dispose of the claim of the petitioner expeditiously.
