In the background of caste rivalry at the instance of a local MLC, Sanjay Prasad Singh, it has been alleged by the informant, wife of deceased that while she along with her Bhainsur and husband were at Tilakpur Bahiyar, Ganga Singh, Munna Singh, Kamlesh Singh, Ramesh Singh, Pankaj Singh, Ram Balak Singh and Surendra Singh, all armed with rifle, came and inquired about Virappan. As her husband shown his ignorance, on an order of Ganga Singh, they dragged her husband to Gonga Baba Asthan where they all had shot at her husband by way of indiscriminate firing. Anyhow, she as well as her Bhainsur saved themselves.
Petitioner is not named in the FIR though, is a co-
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.8525 of 2020(4) dt.16-06-2020 2/2 villager. His name cropped up later on, which has been taken a ground at the end of the petitioner with regard to false implication. Furthermore, as has been submitted, a co-accused, Ganga Singh has been granted regular bail vide Cr. Misc. No. 3232/2020 (order dated 05.06.2020.) Consequent thereupon, petitioner, BAMBAM SINGH @ BAIKUNTH SINGH is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jamui in connection with Jamui PS Case No. 149/2019.
