2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for offence under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 352 & 109 of B.N.S., 2023.

3. As per F.I.R. on 18.08.2024 at about 7 PM, this petitioner snatched mobile of informant and on demand of mobile, this petitioner abused and started assaulting informant with bamboo and knife, as a result of which, informant sustained several injuries.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case due to previous enmity. F.I.R. has been lodged after a delay of 5 days without there being any plausible explanation of delay.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits that there is specific allegation against this petitioner that he assaulted informant with bamboo and knife. Besides this, petitioner is accused in six more cases.

6. Considering the nature of accusation and criminal antecedent, the prayer for anticipatory bail of petitioner is rejected.
