23-01-2019 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the present case petitioner has preferred a statutory appeal bearing No. 15/2017 before the District Magistrate, Gaya on 03.06.2017 but the same is still pending for consideration. It is also pointed out that as per the statutory provision a maximum period of 60 days is prescribed to dispose of the appeal.
In the above said view of the matter, the District Magistrate, Gaya is directed to consider and dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner within a period of 60 days from today.
Learned counsel for the State is present.
