The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Supaul P.S. Case No.343 of 2023 registered for the offence under Sections 356 and 379 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is accused of snatching a bag containing Rs.98,411/- from the informant.

The petitioner is in custody since 05.09.2023.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has produced a demand draft of Rs.50,000/- prepared in the name of the informant and has submitted that he is ready to make good part of loss to the informant without prejudice to his case and without accepting his guilty.

Considering the aforesaid fact and also considering the period of custody of the petitioner, this application is allowed.

Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Supaul, in connection with Supaul P.S. Case No.343 of 2023.

At the time of furnishing the bail bonds, the petitioner shall furnish the aforesaid demand draft of Rs.50,000/- prepared in the name of the informant. If the petitioner furnishes the aforesaid demand draft, the Court below shall accept his bail bonds and hand over the said demand draft to the informant.

A photocopy of the demand draft, which has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner, is taken on record.
