In the present writ petition, the petitioner had prayed for directing the Respondents to pay arrear of salary for the period April 1993 to May 1994 along with interest.

Of course, in the writ petition, no date of retirement of the petitioner has been mentioned, on perusal of affidavit duly sworn by him, it is evident that the petitioner was aged about 65 years at the time of filing of the writ petition. No reason has been assigned for filing the writ petition at such a belated stage. In this case, a counter affidavit has been filed. On perusal of the counter affidavit, it is evident that grievance of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.14499 of 2008 (2) dt.17-09-2015 2/2 petitioner in respect of arrear of salary has already been redressed. So far question of interest is concerned, in the writ jurisdiction it would not be appropriate to examine such relief. The writ petition stands disposed of.
