The petitioner seeks bail in Excise Case No. 352 of 2018, instituted for the offence under Section(s) 30(a) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016 pending in the court of Additional Sessions Judge-3rd cum Special Judge, Excise Act, Samastipur, Distt. Samastipur.

It is alleged in the written report that 2600 liters of foreign liquor has been recovered from truck. Petitioner along with driver and owner of the truck was found sitting in the aforesaid truck.

Keeping in view the recovery of huge quantity of liquor, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.5905 of 2019(2) dt.04-02-2019 2/2 this stage.

Prayer of the petitioner for grant of bail stands rejected at this stage.

Petitioner may renew his prayer for bail after six months in the event no substantive progress is made in the trial. (Sanjay Priya, J) S.Ali/- U T
