The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Barachatti P.S. Case No. 353 of 2025 registered for the offences punishable under section 137(2), 308, 3(5) of B.N.S. 3.

As per the prosecution case, informant received a call on his mobile and the caller claimed to have his son and demanded Rs. 1,00,000/- as ransom.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case. He further submits that the petitioner has clean antecedent and he is in custody since 09.10.2025. The petitioner undertakes to co-operate in the case/ trial.

Learned counsel for the petitioner also submits that similarly situated co-accused persons, namely, Ram

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.2212 of 2026(3) dt.31-03-2026 2/2 Pravesh Kumar and Kashmir Kumar have been granted bail by this Court vide orders dated 24.03.2026 and 25.03.2026 passed in Criminal Miscellaneous Nos. 371 of 2026 and 3111 of 2026. 6.

Learned APP for the State has opposed the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court, this application for regular bail is allowed.

Accordingly, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned A.C.J.M.-II, Sherghati, Gaya / concerned Court below in connection with Barachatti P.S. Case No.353 of 2025.

It is clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the observations made by this Court is only for the purpose of deciding this bail application.
