JUSTICE DINESH KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 14-05-2015 Heard learned counsels for the petitioner and the State. The petitioner being the S.I., is languishing in jail since 21.01.2015 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 7/13(2) read with Section 13(i)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The petitioner was trapped while accepting the illegal gratification of `20,000/- for transmitting the report under Section 144 Cr. P.C. proceeding in Jakkanpur P.S. Case No. 01 of 2014. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the chargesheet has been framed in the matter and the investigation has concluded. A statement has been made in para 3 of the petition that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent. It is submitted by learned counsel for the Vigilance that the petitioner was trapped while accepting illegal gratification of

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.15463 of 2015 (2) dt.14-05-2015 2/2 `20,000/- which was recovered from the possession of the petitioner.

Considering the fact that the investigation has already concluded, let the above named petitioner be released on bail, on furnishing bail bond of `10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Vigilance-1st, Patna in connection with Special Case No. 03 of 2015 arising out of Vigilance (Patna) P.S.
