In this case, the petitioners are seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Vaishali Sadar P.S. Case No.692 of 2018, registered for the offence punishable under Section 414 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(A) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

Allegation has been made that huge quantity of illegal liquor has been recovered from a car, however, the petitioners fled away after seeing the police party. Looking to the nature of allegation, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.5729 of 2019(2) dt.04-02-2019 2/2 Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. However, if the petitioners surrender before the Court below within four weeks from today and pray for regular bail, the Court below will consider the same and pass appropriate order preferably on the same day without being influenced by the order of this Court.
