2. The petitioner who was appointed on the post of Plumber in Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Science, Sheikhpura, Patna continued to render his services till his superannuation.

3. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that during the entire period of his service, he was not given any increment which was given to other employees. He has also laid a grievance that though in the year 1997, he was granted one time promotion but without any increment which otherwise was made available to the other employees of the same genre.

4. A representation to that effect was given by the petitioner before the Director, Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Science, Sheikhpura, Patna but no action has been taken on the aforesaid representation which is still pending consideration.

5. This Court directs the petitioner to prefer a fresh representation before the Director, Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Science, Sheikhpura, Patna within a period of four weeks from today which shall be acted upon by the Director, Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Science, Sheikhpura, Patna by a speaking order within a period of four weeks thereafter. In case the claim of the petitioner is found tenable, necessary orders in that regard shall also be passed within the aforesaid period.

6. With the aforesaid direction/observation, the writ petition is disposed off.
